Northview’s Social Club
. . . is a loving “people-to-people” ministry in the Hollins area for mentally challenged adults .
Started in 2005, Social Club meets the 2nd Monday of the month from 5:30-7:00 pm. Following dinner there are various activities: games, music groups, and other entertainment at the church, as well as trips to see a Red Sox game, play Putt-Putt, go bowling, or visit a local attraction. Volunteers provide one-on-one interaction with members.
Social Club membership is limited to 25, and there are currently spaces available for new members.
Transportation by RADAR is provided for those living within the Hollins/North Roanoke area. It is handicap accessible. New members are accepted by referral of a social worker or case manager of local mental health agencies.
