Welcome

We have celebrated 150 years as a church!     ***** If you encounter errors using this web page with Internet Explorer, please try Chrome or Firefox. *****   We hope you will spend time with us in worship, in fellowship, in choir and handbells, in playing basketball and pickleball, in a Bible study or in a small group. You can learn more about the opportunities here on the website or by asking around at Northview UMC. Before and after worship services are great times to ask questions. If members don’t know the answers, they probably can introduce you to someone who will. Northview UMC is a community on a journey together, building relationships. We want to strengthen our relationships with God, with our community, and with each other. You will meet our church members helping out throughout the community–in schools, as Scout leaders, at the Rescue Mission, Community Outreach Project and with Elijah Backpacks, and through our Social Club Ministry. You will see families from throughout the community (who may be an alumni from NUMC Preschool) coming through our doors again...

Fine Art Series 2017-2018 – May 20, 2018

Northview United Methodist is proud to announce a Fine Art Series in 2017-2018 featuring four very talented artists. The next event will be Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Sanctuary.  The artist will be Mimi Zhang, scheduled to graduate from Virginia Tech this spring.  She has served Northview United Methodist Church by directing the chancel choir, playing piano and organ, and playing violin.  We hope that she will be joined by her fellow sting quartet members – winners of a national string competition.  Plan to join us for this wonderful gathering at 4:00 PM in the Sanctuary. The first event was October 29, 2017 featuring Richard Kiser.  Richard Kiser is a Hall of Fame Guitarist.  He tours and plays varied venues of music throughout the United States and the world.  He has won over 70 major awards, including “Instrumentalist of the Decade”.  His was also twice chosen Instrumentalist of the year by the Artists Music Guild.  His CDs are played world-wide.  For additional information, click here to visit his website. The second event took place January 28, 2018...

Kits for Conference – Due June 10, 2018

The United Methodist Women will once again sponsor the collection of “Kits for Conference”. UMCOR has specified only Hygiene Kits, School Kits and Cleaning Kits be collected for conference this year. Beginning Sunday, May 6, a display/collection table will be set up in the hallway outside the choir room. There will be collection bags with instructions on how to prepare each type of kit available for your pick up. Northview has been very generous in the past and I know this year will be no exception. Should you prefer not to prepare a kit and would rather make a donation to cover the cost of preparing a kit, the cost of a Hygiene Kit is $12.00 and a School Kit is $11.00. Please make your check payable to Northview UMC and note in the memo section of your check the type of kit to which you wish to make a donation. Please make the same notation on your envelope if you are paying by cash. All prepared kits should be turned in no later than Sunday, June 10 in...
