Creation Walk – June 8

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Creation Walk with Pastor Doug – Saturday, June 8, 2019 Francis Bacon was a philosopher who lived during the reign of Elizabeth I.  He said there are two books every Christian should study.  The first is the Bible and the second is creation because it reflects the nature of the creator.  Saturday, June 8, we will be going on a Creation Walk to Catawba Mountain.  Our afternoon will begin at 2:00 pm with a brief worship service in the parking lot of Catawba UMC at 4962 Catawba Creek Road, Catawba, VA  24070.  This service is designed to help us prepare ourselves to see the hand of our Lord within nature.  We will hike up the Sawtooth Ridge greenway path, walk on the Appalachian trail for a short trip to an overlook spot and then return to Catawba UMC.  Following the hike, we will have dinner at The Homeplace Restaurant at 4:30 pm.  Join us for the hike, dinner or both activities.  More information about the trail can be found at https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/sawtooth-ridge-via-appalachian-trail . Northview Choir Invited to Carnegie Hall

The Northview Adult Choir has received an invitation from Distinguished Concerts International of New York to participate with a 300-voice choir in concert at Carnegie Hall, presenting the music of the renowned Mary McDonald.  This concert will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Carnegie Hall in New York on the Stern Auditorium/Perlman Stage.
